Nigeria international Obafemi Martins starred as Seattle Sounders clinched their maiden MLS Supporters' Shield with a 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy.
A sell-out crowd of 57,673 packed into CenturyLink Field to see the Sounders finish the regular season with 64 points from 34 games, three more than the Galaxy.
In the second meeting between the two teams in less than a week - after last weekend's 2-2 draw in Los Angeles - it was the Sounders that came out on top in front of their adoring fans.
An unmarked Pappa was picked out by team-mate Obafemi Martins at the back post before firing low and hard past Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.
The Guatemalan was at it again in the fifth minute of stoppage time, dispossessing Penedo at the second time of asking and scooping the ball into an empty net for his sixth goal of the season and Seattle's second trophy of the campaign.
Seattle won the US Open Cup last month.
