The club confirmed that the player, who was Nigeria’s top scorer at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, had penned a new contract as the season came to end.
The new contract is for four years, and will expire at the end of the 2018/2019 season.
Musa, who joined the club in 2012, has scored 36 goals since joining, having played 124 games.
During that period, CSKA have won two Russian league titles, the Russian Cup once and also two Russian Super Cups.
“Negotiations went very smoothly,” general director Roman Babaev told pfc-cska.com.
“During the talks we were concentrating on technical details, as Musa's intention to continue performing in Red-Blues shirt was obvious from the first day.
“We are delighted that Ahmed prolonged his contract with the club.”
