Côte d’Ivoire’s coach Sabri Lamouchi recall Kolo Touré and Max Gradel for Senegal

Côte d’Ivoire’s coach Sabri Lamouchi has recalled Kolo Touré and Max Gradel for the all-important 2014 World Cup play-off against  Senegal on October 12 in Abidjan.

The Liverpool defender had been side-lined since March due to a lack of game time at his former club Manchester City.

Kolo later missed his first game back in the Elephants’ formality Group C final clash against Morocco in Abidjan on September 7 due to injury.

And Saint-Etienne’s midfielder Gradel returns after a six month injury spell following his recent return to action for Les Verts.

Meanwhile, new ASEC Mimosas  goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangaré has been ignored this time, giving space to Séwé Sport and Africa Sport’s Sylvain Gbohouo and Cissé Abdoul Karim respectively as back-up to first choice Copa Barry.

Also omitted is Galatasaray’ s right back Emmanuel Eboué who appears to be no longer in Lamouchi’s plans after being absent from the “Séléfanto” since the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Otherwise, they are no big surprises in the Ivoirian squad to battle with the Lions who will host the Elephants in Casablanca in the return leg on November 16 at 19h00 GMT.
