Celtic defender Efe Ambrose has agreed a new four-year contract with the Scottish champions.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international has established himself as a mainstay in Neil Lennon's side at centre back, making his 55th appearance for the club against Barcelona in midweek and scoring in the Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville in July.
Ambrose, whose original deal was due to expire in July 2015, joined from Israeli side FC Ashdod in August last year.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Celtic so far and I am absolutely delighted to extend my stay at such a fantastic club," he told the club's official website.
Ambrose has also become a regular for the current African champions, the Super Eagles, playing at right back. He has made 31 appearances, scoring once, so far.
His new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2017.
