Super Eaglets zooms to the World Cup in a ruthless manner

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria returned to winnings ways with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Congo during the last Group B match played in Marrakech on Saturday. Congo played for about an hour with nine men after two expulsions in on 32^nd and 39^th minutes but Nigeria was already 2-0 up at the time of the first expulsion.

The win took Nigeria into the semi-finals of the CAF U-17 Championship and also ensured qualification for the FIFA World Cup to be played in October and November in United Arab Emirates.

LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA

NORWICH VS READING

Reading desperately need a win at Norwich on Saturday to give their slim Premier League survival prospects any hope at all.

Nigel Adkins knew he was taking a job with a near impossible task when he replaced the sacked Brian McDermott last month in the Reading hot seat, and he began his tenure with back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and his former club Southampton.

He did, however, claim his first point as Reading boss on Saturday in a 0-0 draw at home against Liverpool to give the players a boost ahead of their trip to Carrow Road.

Reading sit bottom of the Premier League, 10 points from safety, and need to make every post a winner if they are to pull off a miracle and avoid the drop.

The last time they encountered Chris Hughton's side, Reading were held to a 0-0 draw at home in November.

Norwich, meanwhile, are in 14th place - just four points clear of the drop zone themselves, which should add a sense of urgency for both sides in this match.

WEST BROM VS NEWCASTLE

Newcastle will be keen to put some more breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone when they visit West Brom on Saturday.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has announced he intends to run for office once more in 2016.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has rubbished suggestions his team have secured a top-four position in the English Premier League.

Benitez's side bounced back from their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City with a 3-0 win over Fulham on Wednesday to move to 61 points in third spot on the Premier League table.

Chelsea sit one point ahead of fourth-placed Arsenal, while Tottenham (fifth on 58 points) and Everton (sixth on 56 points) are still in the hunt to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League with around a month to go in the Premier League.

Benitez expects the battle to finish in the top four will continue to the final day when his side host Everton, while they must also face Tottenham before the end of the season.

"I said a long time ago that the race for the top four will go until the end of the season and it looks like that," Benitez said after Wednesday's victory.

"If we continue winning and they continue winning then the games against Tottenham and Everton will be even more important.

"It has to be like this though and will be good for you because it gives you (the media) something to write about."

Chelsea took the lead on the half-hour mark at Craven Cottage thanks to a blistering long-range strike from Brazilian defender David Luiz.

Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey is confident that beating Fulham would put the pressure on Tottenham and Chelsea in the race for a top-four finish.

The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League, a point behind the Blues and two above Spurs.
