African Players In Scoring Rush

ENGLAND

Ivorian midfielder Cheick Tiote and Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse, who came off the bench in the 69th minute to replace Anita, in the were on the losing end as Newcastle United were outplayed by Everton in an exciting 3-2 Premier League win for the Toffees.

It was Belgian star Romelu Lukaku who netted twice on his home debut and laid on another for Ross Barkley. Meanwhile Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy scored second half goals for the visitors.


FRANCE

Senegalese forward Diafra Sakho scored the opening goal, and his 6th of the season, for Metz in their 3-2 loss at Lens in a Ligue 2 encounter.

Ghanaian striker Kwame Nsor and Guinean midfielder Bouna Sarr entered in the second half but didn't made the same impact they did a week ago in the 3-0 win over Nancy, while Cameroonian youngster Edgar Salli, who has been called up for the World Cup qualifying clash against Tunisia, set up two goals for the home side.

There was also place for Niger international defender Karim Lancina who replaced injured Metz skipper Sylvain Marchal in the first half. The former CotonSport player, who only played 11 minutes before this game, struggled against the experience of Lens striker Ljuboja and the quickness of Yoann Touzghar.


ROMANIA / TURKEY

Congo striker Fodé Doré scored his 3rd league goal of the season for Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti, while Senegalese forward Lamine Diarra netted a brace in Antalyaspor's 2-0 win over Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.
