Golden Eaglets forward to a winning run in 2007, Kabiru Akinsola, has injured his knee and he could now be out for a period of 21 days.
The bulky striker , who injured his knee while training with his Spanish Segunda B team CE L'Hospitalet on Thursday morning hopes to recover in good time.
"I injured my knee at training on Thursday. I am very sad with the injury but I hope I won't stay long on the sidelines,” Akinsola said
“A scan will now be done to ascertain the degree of the injury, maybe I could be out for two or three weeks, but medical staff will decide that."
Akinsola has scored five goals this season for his Segunda B team.
