Ranti Martins' club set to add Syrian to their ranks

Hasan Al Moustafa, a Syrian defender is all set to become United Sports Club's fourth foreign signing.

The cash-strapped club are still struggling to find a sponsor, but a couple of well-wishers has come forward and offered financial assistance which shall allow them to complete their foreign contingent for the season. They already have Ranti Martins, Belo Rasaq and Eric Brown on their roster among the foreign signings.

"Yes, we are set to sign Hasan, a Syrian player. He will join the squad in Bengaluru," United Sports Club official Nabab Bhattacharya said.

"As of now, we don't have enough details of him. Hasan has played in Lebanon and Syria in the past. We were looking for a player in Syria, since the domestic tournaments have been postponed there due to political unrest. It would have been a cheaper coup for us. Now, Eelco (Schattorie) will have a look at him at first, and if he can impress the coach, we are going to sign him up," Nabab said.
