NWFL Super Six Suffers Postponement

Official statement from the governing body of women football in Nigeria, Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) makes us understand that the annual Super Six Play-Offs, which was scheduled from 20th-26th October has been postponed till further notice.

Secretary General of the body, Isaac Ajisafe, stated that the recent development arose from the engagements of Falconets and Golden Eaglets, with both teams having busy schedules in the month of October.

"This is to inform all clubs concerned that in view of the engagements of the U20 Women National Team qualifying matches holding in October, 2013 and Golden Eaglets' participation in UAE 2013, the NWFL Super Six has been postponed to a later date," the statement disclosed.

Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, FC Robo, Nasarawa Amazons, Pelican Stars and hosts Bayelsa Queens all qualified for the event-used to determine the best female team in Nigeria.
