The proprietor and president of Ace football Academy, Kola Adebulugbe
says the captain of his team Abdulganiyu Saheed, who is a part of the
Nigeria team to the Africa Youth Championship, will be a ‘joker in the
pack' in defence for the Nigeria team in Senegal.
Speaking to SL10.ng in Kaduna, Kola took time out to congratulate the
Nigeria Under-17 team for picking up a ticket to represent Africa at the
Under-17 World Cup, and hopes the Under-20 follow suit in qualifying
for the World Cup, by doing well at the Africa Youth Championship in
Senegal.
The Nigeria team are due to depart Nigeria today for Senegal, and
included in the team is a product of the Academy owned by Kola
Adebulugbe, namely Ganiyu Saheed, and he has backed him to be a rock at
the back for Nigeria.
"Saheed will be a revelation at the back for Nigeria. During the Super
Six in Abuja he played three times in the six games they played, and
also got a feel of for senior national team football when he played for
Nigeria against Ghana under-21. Those two experiences have added to his
confidence and ability, Nigerians should watch out for him." he told
SL10.ng.
SL10.ng also gathered that Saheed will be scouted by FC Porto during
the championship, while an unnamed team in Turkey already have him in
mind for a summer transfer.
